Default R12 Freon recovery/recycling machine in NJ?

Does anyone have a recycling machine for R12 near me in NJ? I need to replace the front seal in the Firebird's A6 compressor and don't think it would environmentally (...and/or financially) intelligent to let $150 worth of Freon float up into the atmosphere.

It would be nice to borrow one or even buy a used one outright.

My mechanic buddy had a nice used Snap-On machine at his garage but his employee decided it was old and threw it in the dumpster (don't get me started - it had 5 pounds of my R12 in it already!).

Steve,

I hope you find what you are looking for. I have heard that Freon is actually heavier than air so it sinks like propane. It will distroy ozone if only it could get get up there to do so.

Whether its lighter or heavier than air, I'd rather not spill $150 of it out there.

I bought a working Ford Rotunda R12 recovery machine, locally. It is from the early 1990's It is model # 158-00001. I did not come with a manual, though. Does anyone have an idea where I can locate a copy of the operators manual?
