R12 Freon recovery/recycling machine in NJ?
Does anyone have a recycling machine for R12 near me in NJ? I need to replace the front seal in the Firebird's A6 compressor and don't think it would environmentally (...and/or financially) intelligent to let $150 worth of Freon float up into the atmosphere.
It would be nice to borrow one or even buy a used one outright. My mechanic buddy had a nice used Snap-On machine at his garage but his employee decided it was old and threw it in the dumpster (don't get me started - it had 5 pounds of my R12 in it already!). |

Steve,
I hope you find what you are looking for. I have heard that Freon is actually heavier than air so it sinks like propane. It will distroy ozone if only it could get get up there to do so. Jason |

Re: R12 Freon recovery/recycling machine in NJ?
I bought a working Ford Rotunda R12 recovery machine, locally. It is from the early 1990's It is model # 158-00001. I did not come with a manual, though. Does anyone have an idea where I can locate a copy of the operators manual?
