Yes you could be right. I think that it is smart to keep track of where it is. But I just thought it was funny when I read it the first time. I also think that if someone owns a COPO car they could afford the motor. But I have been wrong before. Could be a timing thing where the funds are just not there at the present time. Although now is the time to buy since the market has seemed to slow down.

[/ QUOTE ] This happened last year when COPO asking prices were 300K and up, plus 12K for THE rebuilt original 427 motor to your car is a great price even if its for a 75K car..........enter the cloners.....

If the guy who still has my engine was asking 12k I would of bought it up in a heartbeat, but 28000 was alittle overboard. Funny thing, next swapmeet I saw him selling at with my engine in his spot, a ce engine showed up 2 spots from him for 800.00 with the same casting dates. Guess what's in my car.
