It is not mine but thought maybe someone might know where the car is. Vin is 19N641573
I noticed that this block was cast 2 weeks before mine, assembled 1 month after mine and my vin is 19N650xxx. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Kurt http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-COPO...sspagenameZWDVW |
Re: 1969 COPO 427 MN Block
I can attest from experience on selling 2 MN motors there is no cheaper individual than a COPO owner with the wrong motor in his car. The cloners pay more... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

If I owned muscle car, especially a COPO, and someone had the original motor to it, I would give my right arm for it.....maybe not 'cause than I couldn't shift. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |
Re: 1969 COPO 427 MN Block
Yeah I think anyone who has one of these cars would love to have the original engine however, sometimes the guy who has the engine wants to hold you ransom as with my car.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, but let's put this in perspective. I am just throwing numbers out there for simplicity. If a COPO car is worth...$100,000 restored without the original motor. And it is worth $150,000 with the original motor, what do you think that motor is worth to the seller? We know what it is worth to the buyer. |
Re: 1969 COPO 427 MN Block
I had 4 original MN motors...One sold and is in a ls6 70 chevelle, one went to a guy whos making a 68 clone 427 car, one is still for sale, and the last one im going to put in a 68 small block camaro. I did find the owner of the car for one of the motors, he said to contact him and let him know who i end up selling the motor to so he can keep track of it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gifhttps://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif
