I just came in from following your write-up on setting a 4053 Holley. Damm car runs great now. The car was always smelling rich but much better after following your instructions, What makes the carb leaner,in or out on the mixture screws?

I printed the tuning guide and stuck it in my "clue" binder of useful information out in the garage.

On a conventional 4150/4160 style Holley, turning the mixture screws in leans out the idle mixture, backing them out richens it.
