That reunion is very special. It's almost surrealistic. For anyone who has old time drag racing in their blood it is truly a trip back in time. So many "real" old cars and the original personalities as well, up close and personal. They're all willing to talk to anyone and tell stories of racing days. And I hate to say it, but those from that era are not getting any younger. Every year we keep losing more of them. It's uncomfortable to talk about, but I think most people realize that these opportunities to enjoy time with and learn from these old heroes are disappearing. ![]() Verne |
