[ QUOTE ]
Those hp numbers are for people who beleive in Santa. back in the day when stock motors ran on the street there is noway a stock 426 hemi would beat a l88 no way As a matter of fact a 1967 Camaro z28 302 with 546 gear from the factory 4 speed with slicks ran a 1260s consistantly at the track and would beat the hemy on the street as regular as exlax. PJ [/ QUOTE ] I believe you would find a blue-printed street hemi would produce similiar power to the L88. That's what I was hoping to get out of the show. Also remember the street hemi was fitted into cars mostly in the 3800lb range. Not 3300lb like the vette. I think on the "Pure Stock" web-site, if that's what its called. They have some dyno #'s. May want to check and see what they report. Atleast the comparisons are fair. ![]() I really don't see the comparison with the Z. ![]() Patrick |
