i have found a ZL1 block 3946052 it has a rod that has blown # 7 and #8 cylinder wall the sleevs have been removed on those 2 , and has a small crack on the lifter valley , part 3 is 3946052 can anyone tell me what i should pay for a block of this condition??

so what your saying is around 3 g's for the block would be fair even needing all those repairs

hey buddy i dont know much about the block and dont want to buy it if its going to cost a fortune any help or advice in this matter

Is it a 69 dated block? A competent machine shop should have no problen repairing the block. I think $3K would be a great price for you.

i guess i should get it than just not sure what it will cost to repair it , i guess i can also use it as a coffee table till than , just joking

Plan on thousands not hundreds to fix. There are many things that need to be looked at other than the physical repairs. Ive even had a block that physically looked good after repair but the cam geometry was off center and the bores not straight and it would eat cams and lifters one after the other. Couldnt get anyone that wanted to touch fixing it at any price,and those few guys were fixing blocks blown in half for other customers.
