I don't understand why, as a restorer anyway, that "we" would want a 1978 dated engine.

As a drag race engine, I guess it's worth it. JMO

[/ QUOTE ] Rick, you have to look at it this way. Would you rather have a GM crate L88 AND 1000.00 to buy some aviation fuel, or 2 used fan/clutches for a 68 camaro??!!

Ha Ha, You're cracking me up.

But seriously, are you using the engine to race, or does it have value as something to put into a restoration?

I guess I'm just surprised to see you have interest in this engine, when I see almost everything else you deal in has to do with the restoration end.

Rick here is your quote from the other day.
Quote:

So if you tell me why you bought yours, ill tell you why i bought mine Actually,i will use it in one of my cars as its not anything #s or valuable comparitively speaking ,and save the dated pieces . Im going to put a 68 fan and clutch on it though just to make everyone mad at the camaro nationals.. ...

Rick, for the record i wasnt implying your price was out of line on the fan and clutch,i was just joking about comparisons on what some parts are worth versus others.
