I pulled these smog hoses off of a '70 Chevelle in a junk yard, never had any shiney crap on these

Thanks guys! The previous owner of my car was in his 70's and has done no engine detailing that I can see, so I don't think it is rubber treatment in my case.

Just ordered up a nice set of Diamond Back red lines for her too Sam so I can get it out once or twice a year
