I share your feelings on the lack of affordable cars, especially when it comes to Camaros. We have been looking for a 69 convertible(for Karen) for 3 years, but the $$$ just keeps getting higher. Finally settled on a 69 SS coupe for now. If it was up to me I would buy a 68 and build a Motion style clone of a car like Mark Hassett's. Stinger hood, BB w/alum heads, headers and Cragar mags. That car always looks good and sounds even better. 68 cars are reasonably priced and when you pull in you won't look like every other 69 in the show! 68 is also my favorite year in the Nova, but that's another story...... let me know if I can help in your search, lots of cars in NY.
