Long time between posts on the site...just too busy I guess on my half. I have not been able to do anything with the car (lack of $$) since I bought it last year. Just been crusing here and there and to a few shows...
But due to the amount of questions I get about the car, and still being a relative newbie to the muscle car world (see me previous posts), if anyone is local to me and would like to check out the car and verify for me what parts are on the car, I would appreciate that very much. I can bring the car to you to check out, just would really like to verify either with part numbers or just knowledge in general. I do like to be honest with people who ask questions about the car...even though its not a real Motion car. And I want to know the truth myself so I know what I have and what I don't. So I'm here to get any help or additional information I can. I do have a Motion Performance catalog to match part numbers or make comparisions. Again, any comments or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ![]() |

I looked at this car about a year ago when it was at a repair shop on rt 662. If my memory is correct, it has a 6 cyl vin?

Hey Marlin,
Yes, the VIN # on the title and on the dash is a 6 cyl VIN (my first real indication when I saw the car in person that it wasn't anything more than a Motion tribute/clone). And it also has non-SS front fenders (which if originally a V6 makes sense). However, the firewall plate has a different Vin # on it...which is a V8 VIN...so who knows what's going on there...that's why I'd really just like to get someone who either knows Nova's or Chevy's in general to just give the car a lookover and tell me what it's got...you probably saw it at DJ's outside Fleetwood, I only live about a mile from there... |

All Novas have a 11427WRNxxxxxx on the trim tag, even the 4cyl ones. So, your car is normal. I'm not sure I saw anything Motion on the car, it looks like a neat old street racer to me. Don't worry to much about it, just enjoy it!

Yes, that's the trim tag it has. I know it's just a Motion clone, but it's still a blast to drive. Since it has the Vette sidepipes, I get alot of questions about them.
