Actually December 1966 was when the 396 became available. Seeing that it is a 1st week December car it just might be. I said might. The 4K looks strange to me as well.

What's up with that grill emblem? If that car is a BB 396 car then why have a SS 350 emblem? I got it, they forgot to remove the grill emblem when he swapped out the motor. Yeah, that's it.

Plus, what RPO is that space saver tire??

This car is coded as an L78 (4K), and from my research this option was introduced sometime in March of 67. There is no way that this car is a true 12A built L78. The L35 was introduced prior to the L78 and 12A is too early for that.

Taking another look at the trim tag, it looks like somebody put a L right over the 4, on the 2LG code.

I agree completely about the L78, I just couldn't remember the intro date for the 375hp. Sucks getting old.

The tag has been doctored up and looks very bad.
