Default Re: Ignition Switch Marking

[ QUOTE ]
I had two steering columns I personally pulled out of a 1971 Pontiac Grand prix, and a 1971 Buick Skylark.
These both had Red dabbed Ignition switches and still retained their factory cast flashing covering the release button. Thus they were never been replaced.

Mossport,

The above both sound like relatively low-performance cars to me... Rick, was there anything special about the pontiac and buick these switches were in, or was it a standard model GP and 'lark?

I personally had a 69 malibu 350 3 speed a few years ago that also had the red paint, i don't know for certain if it had ever been re-touched up or not, but it was there and looked original to me.
