Default Re: Saving paint marks

Jim,
I'm cleaning the underside of my car and have found that Krud Kutter and Greased Lightning degreaser works very well. Also have used kerosene in a spray bottle for some of the undercoating and years or dirt and grime. Just take your time and use rags and soft tooth brushes and you should retain all the original paint marks. I even uncovered the original "XU" paper tags on my frame rails and kept them mostly intact with the kerosene method.
The crayon marks are a different story. You're on your own there!

Good Luck,
Dennis
