The covers are installed before paint. Pull back the rug on a genny and you will see body color on them. The underside will be tainted. Sometimes the color is easy to see and sometimes it is very light if at all. All the cars are different. The amount of sealer varies to the heavy side that hangs down, to very light. Check out your car, it should have clues to what was done...BKH
