I spoke with a guy whose father was a Chevy dealer back then. He said it was common for a guy to put a brick on the gas pedal when the car was at the end of the warranty. He said they put a ton of CE blocks in cars that the owners blew up on purpose.

If they only would of known how much they were negatively effecting the future values of their car's !

Our Chevelle had the 5-50 powertrain warranty. Used it twice for ring sealing issues. Still got the warranty book.
