Not sure how big these "plates" are you made, but genrally if you buy the correct size washer from a hardware store, all you have to do is weld them in place and grind down the weld. The hole then is perfect.

I made a template of the top of the mounting perch and cut them to fit ( using a plasma cutter , then tacked the right & left together and ground edges so they are the same. Its all Mig welded and ground down so it looks right. Used a Hole saw to cut correct size for bushing and then drilled the aligning hole the correct size as well. The washer would have been easier though. |
