The 1967 NY Auto Show dates were April 1st through April 9th. The VIN and trim tag for the Cherokee in the MCACN video show a car built 06B, second week of June. The red-on-red show car has custom made form-fitting boot to cover the top and the 2nd car does not. The car owner says the top and interior of the second car are the originals. The recessed quick fill gas cap on the original show car is slightly larger and opens in the opposite direction of the later car. Not a simple swap to flip it since the latch for the cap fit into a recess made for that specific orientation. Definitely two separate cars built but no known explanation for why.
