I have an LU-5/J65 and by estimates about 31 were made with the LU-5, but as to the car for sale-- I cannot imagine the rarity of this individual car.

LU-5= Cross fire Fuel injection. Duel TBI units set up on tooling partially borrowed (lower plenum of the two pc) from the over the counter Cross Ram originally used on the 302's.

J-65 Factory 4 wheel Disc brakes. First availability on the Camaro since last offered in 1969.

LG-4 Standard 305 with Quadrajet.

The point on this particular pace car is that it was a 4 barrel car ordered with 4 wheel disc brakes and it's a manual transmission.

The overwhelming majority of the J-65 pace cars that survive are the Automatic's equipped with LU-5, and any Z-28 or any 1982 Camaro equipped with 4 wheel discs. That makes this car super unique.
