I thought 69 s/b Camaro attached to the upper alternator bracket, and b/b attached directly to the block.

Upper alt bracket and t-stat housing. At least thats how it was on the ones I have seen.. Could have been HD battery cars though.. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img]
