No, its the large, round, flat 1" thick, black, foam element not the triangular one.
I had a brand new Mr Gasket replacement element from 1978, sitting in the package in my room in my parent's house for the past 35 years. I went to check on it it and the package was still there, with the shrink wrap attached, but the foam had turned to dust and was all at the bottom of the card. |

So.... I guess if that had been in the air cleaner, all those dust particles would have been deteriorating over time and ended up going through the engine.
