Sam, contrary to popular belief not all plants stamped the VINs on the frame, some were hit and miss and some struck multiple times. If there is a VIN the most common place I see is almost directly above the part number area on the top part of the frame. I would check everywhere along the drivers side rail and even the rear crossmember just in front of the bumper on the rear side as a few have been found there.
