I just checked the 68 Brochure I had and the lettering did not match 1968 for the Dodge Monaco, could they be El Camino letters?

the letters above look like the script used on the first two Maco's (w/blue fish scale paint) delivered in 1974? maybe that helps.

Found it! Comes from a 1968 Mercury Montclair. Does anyone know of a vintage parts store, junk yard, etc. that might have one of these emblems? Or does anyone have a Montclair that would let us borrow the emblem temporarily so we can make a mold?

There's definitely a 68 Montclair rusting quietly, waiting to give up its letters. Don't give up. Try a wanted ad at FordFE.com or one of the Mercury sites.
