I've had both of these sitting on a shelf here for many years & recently sold em at a swapmeet in February.
I think the #3958493 is the relay rod you want,as it came specifically on 1968-9 302cid.Camaro. #3953221 was installed on ALL other 1967-69 Camaro w/o 302cid.& ALL 1968-74 Nova.
