My 78 K30 has the vin tag on the drivers door jam right under the door striker, same size as a trim tag, gives the GVW also. Should also have the vin with the options on a decal in the glove box. I don't know if 1/2 tons are different?....

When I was about 24 years old, I brought home a '73 GMC pickup that I bought. It had 18 inches of lift and 44 inch tires.

That was one of only two times that I heard my Dad use the "F" word.
