Default 1969 427/390 coupe, motion flares and chin spoiler

Hi Folks:

First let me say that I made my donation to the SYC site today and I enjoy the site very much. I would never have the "cajonies" to post something for sale here without making the donation, can't believe some people do. Thank you Tom and crew for a great site. Unfortunately I need to sell another of my cars to continue to fund my current business venture.

1969 Corvette Coupe for sale. Monaco Orange Car, 427/390 car, 4sp,a/c, p/w, p/s, p/b. Born with motor. California Car originally. Motion flares and Chin spoiler ala Phase III cars. Stock headlights, had reverse gills prior owner cut out (I have them and they go with car) Car also had lay back rear window that prior owner removed (and destroyed), dec lid WAS NOT cut when laid back window was put in and is intact. Car runs and moves, no brakes, car needs complete resto, but is very clean underneath and and fairly intact under the hood. Car has all a/c stuff there, motor has headers. M/T valve covers and Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake. I pulled tank looking for build sheet, found alot of dust and the original build sheet "glue", but no build sheet. Car has clean New York State Registration (no titles before 1973 in NY). No other documentation.

Car Also comes with:

1. Reverse Gills, as mentioned above

2. Two hoods, one a Baldwin Motion hood off a real BM car that was wrecked and a real GM L-88 hood.

3. A real Baldwin Motion Lemans gas cap, exactly like the cap that was on the "questionable" orange car that was found, cap off the same wrecked BM car as the hood.

4. A second complete and running big block ls-6 motor!
Motor is out of my 1968 427/435 car that I sold and the owner was putting the car back to its day two configuration, which called for a l-88 motor. I sold him the car minus the motor that I still have, and this motor is STRONG. Motor specs:
a. Ls-6 Over the counter motor, #1019XAA, numbers on back of block are 14015445 and Ko78, making this I believe to be a 1978 over the coiunter motor.
b. 990 Hi Performance heads.
c. alternator # 1102491 37A 3025 12Vneg
d. REAL L-88 Gm aluminum intake #3933163 Gm
e. Holley Carb #4519 33102
f. Aluminum warterpump, # on pump is 5421
g. real gm performance headers from back in the day
h. deep groove pulleys.
Really a nice motor and it made the blow of selling that car easier by keeping it, now look what I'm doing!

5. Two hone-o-drive units, one rebuilt and ready to go, the other in need of a rebuild.

6. 5 motion emblems, three are said to be real, but lets just say they are all repops.

7. A 1969 Baldwin/Motion Performance group booklet listing all 1969 offering for Phase III SS 396&427 supercars.

8. Motion Supercar club key fob and stickers, keyfob real and original, stickers may be repops, I don't know.

9. Mr. Gasket Fly eye air cleaner

10. probabley some other stuff I can't remember right now.

This car is a project, but it is a great starting point and worth doing. This was going to be my keeper, a gentlemans hot rod with ls-6 power and all power stuff and a/c to keep the old lady happy. I'm not happy about selling this car but you do what you need to do. I'm asking $42,500 for the car and all the stuff, there are some real nice pieces in this and I will not break this apart.

If anybody has questions about me, please feel free to speak with Dan Hayes, Rayburn or Jamie about me, I am the prior owner of the "Moray GT" and a real guy. feel free to pm me, send me an e-mail at [email protected], or even, what the hell, talk to me live at (585) 748-8777. The last two big block vettes I had went to the right homes, I'd like to see the same happen with this car. I will post pictures if someone has a genuine interest in purchase, I'm not the best computer guy thats why they are not posted now.

Now here's the type of guy we need more of in The Classifieds. Someone who appreciates the amount of work that goes into keeping this site what it is. It's a refreshing pleasure to have you here Ron! I wish you the best of luck on your sale.
