Police arrest idiot @ Logan Airport

An MIT student was arrested at Logan Airport today for wearing
what was suspected to be a bomb. It turns out it was a fake
bomb and the student was hoping to "stand out".

Two points:

1 - Logan Airport is where two of the four planes were
hijacked on 9/11/2001. This student is flat out an IDIOT
and I hope they throw the book at her.

2 - Airport security does not take this crap lightly anymore.
She's lucky she didn't get her clock cleaned or worse.

As a weekly air traveler, I can appreciate the job TSA has
to do. Some moron with no life tries to make a statement
and just pi$$es everyone off.

I hope they make an example out of her! Throw her out of
MIT and send her back home. Oh yeah, after some much needed
and deserved jail time.

That much needed jail time could be 20 years Federal time for that offense. I have seen it a couple of times while at the airport. The "Airport security (TSA) does not take this crap lightly anymore" is a gross understatement. You can do some serious time for those offenses now.

And I do agree, the TSA does a great job. I cannot count how many times I have stood in line at security listening to someone piss and moan about the time it is taking. Thank God they ARE taking the time! I got to the security line under the "15 minutes before departure" time which got me a guaranteed total search of body and luggage. It was not a problem to me and I learned my lesson.

Not sure how Logan is run but here in Boise there are Airport Police. Like many of the airports that I have worked at. My fiancee' is an Airport Police officer and they work right along side with the TSA people. It is amazing the idiots that show up at the airport. One of my favorites is a female applies for a job and has to go through a 10 year FBI background check to get an airport ID. She shows up to get her badge and had the airport police waiting to arrest her. She had 8 felony warrants outstanding in two states!

What do you guys think the odds are that this
tart will get serious punishment? I hope they
treat her exactly the way she deserves to be
treated. If the authorities want the average
American to treat this issue with the utmost
respect, throw the book at her and turn her into
a poster child for dumb-ass-ness
