I know a guy that has a 73 Z28 that he ordered new. It is a 4 speed car. He told me he ordered it without air because he wanted to race it. He still has it and is currently restoring it. It has been sitting since 1979. Sorry, not for sale, just some info on the a/c.

Oh Boy, finally here's a topic that I can contribute some info to.....

They definitely built 4 speed air conditioned 1973 Z/28 Camaros. I have owned several of them and still have one that I bought back in 1990 or so....

My current 1973 RS/LT/Z28 is 100% matching numbers and came from the factory with a four speed, factory A/C and Ca Emissions (car has been here in Ca since new).

The only restriction was you could not get a close-ratio four speed with the A/C, it had to be the wide-ratio gearbox.

There's my $.02 worth.......

ok... I knew there was a restriction... my brother has a 73 RS LT Z with close ratio 4 spd... and I knew that his could not come with A/C... the original owner said he tried with the 4spd but no go...
