Aside from a slight curve, the eng. stamps do look good but why is the second digit of the engine Vin stamp a seven and not a one...or is it?.
Counting backwards, eight digits from the end should designate model year..
Could be a factory mistake...lets see the trans stamp?.

Overall it looks like a very nice car, seller description and color too!.
Is that red oxide primer color showing in the putty of the trim tag rivets or the putty color itself...is it often seen like on this one?.

70-1 must have been bad for vin stamping. They often seemed to miss the 1's. I have three 70 Z's at the house (2 mine, 1 a friends) and two of them have missing 1's in the stamp. Both have been verified by Jerry M as original stamps.

What IS a little different is that there is no space. On my stamps, where the 1 is missing, there is a space, ie 70N15678 etc would be 70N 5678. None of mine have that much dum dum in the rvits. Not saying anything is amiss here, just comparing to the three that I have access too (and those are 70's not 71;s).........
