I'm loooking for a flip-top fuel filler that was used on Baldwin Motion Corvette's from the '60's & early 70's.
Has the four screw mount to the body and looks like an AC Cobra flip-top fuel filler. Any leads?

Aside from a few Mopar ones on the early Motion cars, I believe the balance of originals used by Motion were the 'Enott' brand ones out of England...and did they all have the four hole base?.
I sourced a few over the years as they were also used as factory equpiment on the early 70's SkiDoo factory racers although with the threaded flange, not four hole base.. Enott's were the good ones back in the day and were used on a few English cars like Aston-Martin, AC's (hence the Cobras) also a few English bikes too and a lot of racing applications.. Be careful as besides different brands there's a few styles of flipper clips available also there's a lot of Chinese repop stuff out there now too that are cheap.. If you want a real one you should be able to find an original with a little research and cruising eBay...here's the search I always used on eBay, give it a go using the spelling mistakes and astericks shown.. flip* (fuel*, feul*, petro*, gas*, gaz*) With the results, click on the eBay motors section and you'll come up with lots of repop also Mopar ones but look carefully at the results also search using Enot* and always w/ the * as sometimes there's one or two t's and maybe an s or not.. Also search using Aston*, Triumph*, MG*, etc.. Marine applications have the four bolt base but a lot say FUEL on them also are usually the newer cheapo Chinaman ones.. Make sure whatever you get is complete with seals and flipper spring and retainer clip hardware!. A few years back the Enott ones were still available new too but a few hundred bucks?. Maybe Jeff Murphy can keep an eye out across the pond at the 'Auto Jumbles' too?. Good luck! ~ Pete ![]()

I have a real one, 4 hole, real deal, pm me, I really would prefer to keep it, but If you have an interest in taking EVERYTHING I have we could work something out. Someday I hope to keep some of the cool stuff I unearth, but that day isn't today.
