Long story short.
these tires were supposedly in storage since '68... till now. on a 31 hot rod type truck SBC, stick etc... 2-L-60-15 Good Year, Polyglass GT's -dot-228592-4 JF91052X nubs are still visible, slight tire buzz on top edge on one, not bad but there, very and I mean very light cracking, probably not visible when blown up tight on a rim. they were sold to me as no cracks and the guys a regular on another rod site I visit. 2-E-70-15 GoodYear WideTread GT's, stamped "Blem" and excellent shape, nubs still visible. dot-225637-1N LR05CO8 link to pics, http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...dYear%20Tires/ I am looking for a straight across trade for repop redlines 2-G-70-15, 2-G-70-14. dunno if that sounds crazy or not I paid strong money for the tires and am not going to run them on the '55. and need some redlines. you guys get first crack at them. I asked around on dating the tires and got nowhere and even called GoodYear with no help. I read somewhere where Polyglass GT's are 3rd desighn replacment for the Polyglass Series, dunno if thats good info or not, I know nothing about tires. |
