Believe Colin had this car a couple yrs back. Very nice. Dig the color and non-console stick!

As a fellow Lithuanian I can tell the name on the protectoplate is genuine...no one from the Baltic states would splurge on extra frills like a console! I'm sure Mr. Gaganis would have deleted the turn signals too if he could.... Cool car!

Bob, maybe you're right...the Lithuanian guy would have stuck with the six-popper instead!

scuncio, I couldn't agree with you more on the frugalness of the Eastern Euro's. I live in what was an ethnic Eastern European neighborhood and it used to be known (in a car sense) as the "land of the plain Jane Chevy Biscaynes."

One weird thing I noticed about the paperwork. The protecto plate bag has Illinois abbreviated as IL. and has the zip code next to it. They did not use that abbreviation until the 80's. Also in 1969 they would not have included the zip. It would have been more similar to the longer card shown in the other pics.

For fun here is a picture of the house. (Picture should be able to be seen by Monday. The pictures on the assessors site sometimes crash on the weekend.)
