Last Saturday was a great day in La Harpe, Illinois as thousands of friends and new acquaintances joined together for the Fred Gibb Car Show. I still say that the cars are truly outstanding, but the people are even greater! I am sorry that I was unable to visit with everyone of you, but that was impossible. As you know I seldom post, but I felt that I wanted to thank every one of you for coming. Many of you came in your "Fred Gibb Car" and we all joined together in conversation of the past almost forty years. You were all so friendly and it was truly a day of joy and kindness. Fred would have enjoyed everything so much!

People and their cars came from Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan and many other states. On Friday evening they were entertained in Monmouth and again on Saturday night by Macomb, both nearby towns.

All I can say is "thank you" so very much for coming and I hope that you can come again next year. Many had told me that they had been there all eight years. GREAT! Personally, I thought this was the best yet---some terrific cars and a wonderful crowd. Many people have also told me that they feel that they are coming home when they come to La Harpe. Come back, you are always welcome!!! Love, Helen Gibb

Our thanks to You, Nancy, Bob & Nancy Lionberger, Jerry and Cathy, Kenny and Anita, and everyone who makes the show one of the favorite events of all time.
Everyone associated with the Gibb Show and the Monmouth Cruise have always been friendly and accomodating. For us, it's more like a family reunion with some pretty cool cars as dessert.
Always a treat to spend time with you.

Congratulations on yet another great event in LaHarpe, Helen.

Wish I could have been there, but had to be at another "Brand X" event. Will see you soon!
