Default new informatin

new information re Milan drag strip 1968
hopefully some more informatin will come of it.

I just found out that my 68 Camaro that the car had lettering on it be it as it was temorary lettering put on just for the track
the Name was PRO SPEED AND CUSTOM. I also found out, as I am tracing all the owners that this car was real bad not only was it a class record holder but also a real bad street racer. After a lot of digging I found the second owner of the car.The second owner was delighted to hear that the car was still alive. He told me that he raced the hell out of it
both a t the track and on the street. He told me he had to replace the front windshield and weld the roof because the car was flexing big time. That explains why the front windshield is not the origional one in the car. One night he was racing a Hemi Cuda 4 speed for 100.00 per gear.
Yes he
ate the Hemi."As it was clearly understood the the Camaro had a 427 under the hood". The car did 10:50s at the track. There are a lot of other stories and hope to share some with you. He kept most of the time slips for the car so
hopefully I can get old track pics and some time slips for the car

Dave
In Canda we get a owners list from the ministry of transportation, everrytime you resgister the car. Do you
get one inthe USA??. However you only get the history back to 1977. So I started by calling all the listings I got from the internet of each name. I had to tell a little lie
to an old girl(grand mother) that answeared the phone, that I was an old school buddy only then did she give me the phone number of her son. That was the second owner of the car BINGO>

Nah we cant hardly get squat here... im working on forms for the Mississippi tax and revenue offices now in hopes they will have the name of whoever last registered the car in Mississippi but that would have been in the late 70's so i may get a dead end unless they are nice enought to look at the microfisch files
