Default 1969 COPO is it real ?

I have found a COPO I think. The car has a big block heater core, that looks like it was never of the car by the looks of the seal, it has the GM BB motor mounts, and radiator shroud support. Disc brakes, auto, 12 bolt cowl hood. No BE rear or original motor. X44 car, Body# 142833, build-10E VIN#124379N709612, Any help would be great THANK U.

So this will make the 3rd COPO you have found in less than a year? What luck.......

Aren't Vins in the 700000 range too late for COPO production? .

I can't find one and I look just about every day.

Cars, what I don't understand is that in your previous posts when somoeone questioned you about your other "COPO's" you talked pretty good about the authenticity of parts that verified them as legit cars but on this one you need help?

What areas are suspect to you?

Rick H.

well to me it appears to be a COPO, but the build date throws me off. With the other COPO'S I at least had some good history this car has none. thats what makes it tuff. wrong motor, trans and rear, seems like the norm for me just once I would like to find one with the right paper work and motor. it has a lot of the other COPO stuff people ask for. The owner said the car never had a fender emblem ,and there original GM, but thats not to say they were replaced at one time. Thats what makes it had. And thats why I have asked for help. Because I don't want to miss lead anyone. If i can't prove it or feel good about it I wont buy it.

If it has the factory dual exhaust hanger bracket on the frame rail and factory cowl induction fire wall holes, a non date coded, incorrect rear, on top of all the other identifiers. I'm interested to purchase.

That is the same info that Larry Engler gave me, when he spoke to me about the car last year. I thought he was going to restore the car???
It is a 711 51B color car. He never did reply back to me about the rearend code.

I will look for the email that I got from Kurt on this car.

I think one of the members has a 10E Baldwin Motion car, that is about 1K VINs ahead of Larry's car.

Later,
Eric

CRG listings show Vin as approx 1700 cars into Nov. production....is this still a possibility? .
