When I see a car that is supposed to be a Survivor and the splash shields for the inners are missing, I always wonder what happened to them. I can understand the smog gone and the exhaust manifold change, but those shields gone make me scratch my head.

-------Dealer emblem is from Tempe (Ariz. I assume) yet the original owner was from Texas. Is there a Tempe Texas??? Not impossible by any means but somewhat unusual. Maybe in the service???......Bill S

-------Also, why does the tag say 19/19 with a vinyl top???

Close, Bill.....Temple, TX. Belton and Temple are very close to each other. I thought that odd too about the car having a vinyl roof.

You wonder how the term "survivor" has become to be used on just about anything for sale. do they mean because it is 35 years old and is still around it is a survivor? So many things wrong with this car, repop interior, just about everything under the hood, master, non smog manifolds, wrong hoses, belts, repop valve covers. I could go on and on but i wont. Also Bill you are right, vinyl top without the b on the cowl tag. Kind of makes you wonder if the car in the pics is different from the one that is really for sale.

Steakly may have had more than 1 dealership. I know he had 1 in Dallas and still does to this day.

"What are the chances that a very rare Arlington built Chevelle would be an LS-6" Not so rare........

"and have survived the past 36 years with most of it's original paint," Ho hum........

"most of it's original interior" MOST? Where's the rest?

"protecto-plate" check! "original title" no big deal, "only accumulated 29,000 documented miles", OK, so you got me by 3K , "and be Tuxedo Black"

Sorry guys; sounds like a pretty "Average Car" to me!

( Oh wait.... I already do!)
