Default '66 427/390hp L36 For 'Vette on ebay

I saw this ad on ebay. If you have a '66 Corvette with the VIN #117598 you better get bidding. It's a '942 "IM" coded block. The heads are the wrong castings but they can be found. I hope somebody has it so they can get back together.

Pad looks like it was decked and restamped to me.

No, it's not my engine and I have no idea who the person is.

I'm curious why you guys think it's a restamp going by that picture. It's impossible to make out any tooling marks at all. Are you thinking the VIN pad edge looks too sharp and clean? If he was going to restamp why not stamp it with an L72 suffix?

My mistake on the heads. The '702 heads are correct for L36. I've got 858's on the brain.
