A soldier on leave
Just want to tell all the good people of this site that our son Pat is home on a 15 day leave from the BIG sand box. A 17 hour flight. Thanks for all the prayers and support! Sam and Vera.

Hi Sam, from someone who's been to both sandboxes on two different deployments, I understand how excited you must be. My younger brother is now taking his turn over there and just returned to Baghdad a week ago from a week's leave. It was both strange and exciting to be on the other side of the pond this time watching someone you love come home, but I am proud of him, just as I am sure you are of your son. Tell him "Thanks" from a fellow G.I. and to keep his chin up, but his head low!
