[/ QUOTE ]I believe Collins and Hickman took this car over. Had a SB in it for awhile. Ran Modified Eliminator. Maybe still in the Delaware area.

He died in September of 1977 at the age of 32 after suffering fatal injuries in a head-on collision in his Corvette with a bus.

The accident happened on the Schuylkill Expressway (a major artery into Philadelphia) before there was a center barricade, the local report was that he crossed over the line intentionally

Going back to the original question asked here... Jungle Jim's brother has indicated this previously:
"Steve Kanuaka built the car for match racing and it had fiber glass front end it also ran with 2-4brl carbs. Dutch Ergang worked for Steve in the shop and also was a head grinder for Jenkins. The car did not last to long because Steve lost insterest in it as far as I know the car is still in existence" He went on to say that he was not sure that he wanted to see the Camaro running as it looked when JJ ran it.

No pretty uniforms but JJ was a real showman. JJ gave the fans what they really came to see; the most popular funny car on the match race circuit. Greg Steich of Pottstown PA was also a JJ fan.
