I put this here because the car is for sale, but what I want to know is the color..Is this Astro Blue? Or just a repaint thats not a GM color. I like this shade of Blue whatever it is.

Looks like Astro Blue code 25. The Med Blue code 26 is a bit darker.

That looks too dark to be code #25 Astro blue.
I'd say it's code #26 Mulsane Blue..or possibly Code #28 Fathom Blue.

There was no code #28 Fathom Blue in 1970. Mulsanne was not a term used in 1970 for the blue color either. It is however to dark for Astro Blue (25) and I would guess it to be code 26 Medium Blue. But since it is coded 14 (Cortez Silver) what does it matter? Too much money for an incorrect car. Just my opinion.

Sure it's a nice car but there is more to it then just a color change.

Look at some of the questions being asked. Some people don't have a clue. Blank pad with nothing on it is not unusual?? All it should have is 3 codes and some didn't get serial numbers?? Come on!

Rick, it matters because as I said, I like this color and was just curious what it is. I'm not interested in the car itself, just the color. Thanks for the info though.

First thing I would have done. If the front pad is blank then most likely it was decked. It the VIN is in the rough casting and it matches then all the better. But the seller posted every other code except the engine. If you can find the codes on the axle abnd tranny, you should have no problem looking for the engine VIN stamp. Again, just my opinion.

Just looking at the motor raises a few questions. I.E. newer style GM valve covers (to shiney), incorrect fuel line to carb, HEI distributor, headers, etc. You're looking at some serious money to get this car correct and $42k is a lot to start with.

The color is nice but not on that car.
