Be careful,
Many of the "SS"'s are actually faked out 402's (which are nice as well). A true SS will have the boxed rear control arms and the load leveler system (or at least, what may be left of it, hoses etc). Also the SS's were only made in 70 and 71, in 72 they did have a 454 option, but it was a "custom", and could also come in a 350 version. I had one back in high school, (had a 70 and a 71), loved the car, went like a raped ape, i got it in a trade for a honda 750 "hondamatic", auto tranny motorcycle. Then i in turn traded it for a ex bracket racer 69 Dart, fast car but missed my monte.

Love Monte Carlo SS454's...a true combination of power and luxury...all wrapped up in a truly sexy package.Great drivers car.
The 1970 model will be the one to watch skyrocket in the short-term,a very rare car indeed.

Numbers matching big block BB402 turbo 400 trans. Twelve bolt posi w/411 gears completed loaded w/AC tilt p/window. $6500 +finders fee 508 316-018 1970 CHEVY MONTE CARLO All numbers match. Southern car, no rust. Eng rebuilt in 2003. Car has nothing to do but drive. New paint, tires, brakes, bearings & seals. Seats done. Orig carpet, new top, all molding & build sheet.
