I am replacing the fromt coil springs on a '68 Firebird conv. The new springs leave the car sitting about 3 inches too high. I understand this is a common problem with aftermarket springs. Any suggestions on how to remedy or where to get the proper springs?

it will drop about 1.5 inches the silly part it needs to be driven...they need some action to settle in..then trim to your desire.

Are you sure that you oriented the springs in the front perchs correctly?
