Default SCR8 - The Best Yet!

As one of the first to arrive and now first to leave , I can say I had an awesome time yet again. Thanks to the Clarys for organizing a great event, the SCW crew for a great meet and great (and the introduction of what I hope will be an annual tradition - the Super Car Punking), Mo and Andrew for a great day at the track and Marlin for a great presentation on his work as a Yenko "archaeologist".

Special thanks from me to SCW crew, Bob Swezey and the Cumbys for their generosity, to Annie the Witch for everything she does, to Pete Simpson, for hounding me so much I took the ZL-1 down the track, and especially to Barry Coughlin, who rescued me and got me to the airport in time after my crappy, stupid European rental car refused to start.

It was great to catch up with old and new friends. Many, many pictures to follow...

In the spirit of Kids in the Hall's "I squeeze your head" shtick, I present the following series of cell phone camera pictures from SCR8...

I squeeze Collins' pimpin' 65 GTO:

I squeeze Caleb Arone's Byrne Bros Day 2 69 COPO:

XPlantDad gets the squeeze while budnate looks on:

I squeeze Mark Hassett:

I squeeze Collins and his bitchin' 427 Cobra:

Charley and his SuperSnake get the squeeze:

I squeeze Ken Boje (68TopStock) while Dennis Gage (in the green trousers) waits to interview him for My Classic Car:

I squeeze Mo Wiggs at the staging lanes. With that profile, he should pop real good:

I squeeze the Byrne Bros COPO just before it turns mid-12's in the quarter mile:

I squeeze Frank's (hwychev) Deuce before he cleans Marlin's clock:

I squeeze Marlin while his new best pal Dennis Gage interviews him for My Classic Car:

I squeeze Annie and her 68 COPO Nova as she pulls out of the pit to drag race:

I squeeze HawaiianCamaro's head while he chews through a questionable piece of ham:

Just got in from another awesome SCR. It was great seeing everyone again, and I can't wait to do it again next year.

For those of you who thought about coming to the SCR this year and for whatever reason didn't make it...you missed out on a great weekend and you should be kickin' yourself big time. Make plans now to get there next year.

This was my first year at the show and what a thrill! Talking to Helen Gibb and Ray Morrison was unbelivable! I am totally blown away by the group of people that participated!

Who turned out the lights?
Thanks Rick for making this happen!
