Previous picture is from our 69 SS427 Impala. This is the car I need the door and quarter moldings for. Once those are found, the car is ready for restoration. The car is documented with dealer shipper copy, original owners POP, reciepts back to Dec 69. We are the third owners, and the car has 99,357 actual miles. This picture is of the rare dealer installed SS427 Tachometer.......

That standard green steering wheel with the blacked out shroud is pretty unique... most of those cars got woodgrain inserts in the steering wheel shroud. I've never actually seen one like that in an Impala... only a very few on 69 SS camaros... Is the wheel original?

Yes, but I've seen them with the woodgrain trim and the SS emblem too... probably part of some option group as it was on the Camaros... neat car. I'm betting those trim pieces you need are gonna be tough to locate, if not impossible. (I'm always the optimist ) Hey... my initials are JBB too... maybe you have some old monogrammed towels you aren't using anymore? j/k

Well, it like anything that was mass produced in Detroit, there was a standard for cars with certain options, but the whole assembly line wouldn't be stopped because of a missing or incorrect part, although certain high perf parts had to be correct. trim pieces are a different matter. Our SS 427 has its dealer shipper copy, POP, reciepts back to 69 and it is a 3 owner car, its provenance of one of 2,455 total produced in 69 is 100% assured........Joel

Joe, the moldings are very hard to find. especially in green........I have been on the quest for 2 years now, and have finally found the two front moldings. 69 Impala stuff is rare, especially in NOS..........
