Default Former race car

I am looking at a Nova that was used for racing. Tubbed, etc., I haven't gone to look at it yet so i'm not sure exactly how much was done too it. I'm just wondering if it is possible to restore it back to original or if anyone here has been involved in it. Un Tub so to speak. I know it would be a lot of work.
Thanks for your input,
Jeff

Yes, it's possible. Lotta work, but possible. Most likley you'll need a donor car, or rust free parts from South, or West. Schonye

Probably a lot cheaper too. Sounds like a lot of work and $$$ to reverse all that's been done. Maybe a '69 ZL-1 Camaro or something nearly as rare deserves that much work and cash but few other cars warrant that kind of effort IMHO. But, if you really want something to do, then I say good luck and keep us updated.

Unless the car is a 69 Yenko Nova or BM Nova or something super rare you are much better off finding a car that has never been cut up. There are a lot of 6 cyl novas still around for reasonable money.

It can be done, look what Wayne is doing to the '68 Gibb Nova. A lot of patience, a good donor car, and some friends to help is all it takes!

No doubt that it can be done... the question becomes is it worth it to put all of that money into a car that is not near as valuable as all the time and money that was put into it?

Doesn't matter to some if it's worth it in the end. If an owner feels it's the right thing to do, then have at it!

Wayne's doing the resto in the Nova Times magazine, a little update each month, an amazing amount of work but major kudo's to the owner and Wayne for doing it right
