Speedometer

I was looking at this Nova on ebay and noticed it says documented actual mileage, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...614268&rd=1
I've always been told that when the old 5 digit mileage didn't line up it likely went over at least once, Anybody know or ever heard this?
