Default Spare wheels

If N66 sport wheels were ordered for A 69 Camaro, did an extra N66 wheel come in the trunk as a spare?

Also, a friend is restoing a Hugger orange Canadian 69 SS Camaro. The car was ordered with N96 mag wheel covers. The original spare is in the trunk (an XT rim) and is painted gloss black. I know the XT's were painted body color when the standard issue small dog dish caps were installed. But, if wheel covers were ordered would the XT's be painted black from the factory?

Pretty sure yes. Rally wheels had a rally spare. 69 Camaros that *actually* got N66 are rare, don't think I've ever seen a documented one, hence can't answer definitively.

All wheels were painted black when they had full hubcaps.

Unless the new car buyer opted to replace the standard hubcaps (as delivered from the factory) with optional full wheelcovers at the dealership during purchase. Dealers were supposed to paint the wheels black in such cases but they often just put the optional wheelcovers on and were done with it. I think someone on this site told me that.
