Default LS-6 torque question

Hi guys,
I know this is the place to ask. What was the factory torque rating on the 70' LS-6 Chevelle? Is 500 correct?
I'm doing a showboard for a good friend with a numbers matching LS-6 and we can not find what we consider to be a reliable source of info to confirm it.
You guys are great, I don't post here much but read almost everyday.
The attachment is a preview of the showboard. We wanted it to look like a GM Promo Poster.
Thanks

Cool board!

When we dynoed our Pure Stock LS-6, it bettered the HP/TQ numbers...IIRC, it bettered the TQ pretty handily. In fact, our Pure Stock L-72 hit 500lb-ft...
