Default 1969 Baldwin Motion Conversion

Saw this ad on Camaros.net. Ad states that this is a Z/28 coverted drag car with a ZLX motor.

What the .... is a ZLX. And if so rare why not Pheonix this puppy.

Here's the link

Here's an old article from Hi-Performance Cars magazine that should explain. May 1969. It's not the magazine that the ad refers to though.

just an observation...ZLX heads are cast iron duplicates of the aluminum ZL1 heads...this add states the motor is an aluminum headed motor....if legit, perhaps the ZLX iron heads were replaced....that would be a bummer.....

From Chevy Action 1975 HOW TO SET UP A 427 CAMARO out of M/P:Chuck H.,who runs out of Millington Pit Stop in Millington Tenn. campaigns this supertrick 69 camaro powered by a phase III ZL/X competition engine complete with open chambered aluminum heads and a pair of Dominator quads.The phase III ZL/X engine is rated at over 600 hp.This car was built for the super/stock and modified production class.This article is for the car that is for sale. Though good info in the previous post the car for sale is not that car. <font color="blue"> [This car has a certificate from M/P and copies of the original work orders plus/]

BINGO.A man that speaks with research.I like that.The only differance is if you'll notice in the article the car was being painted after testing and was painted jet black with red motion type stripes,corvette 427 / motion emblems and still sports that original paint job.Still carries all the original A&amp;A STICKERS ON ALL THE FIBERGLASS and sits as you see it in the article 737 miles

Tim;
I have that article as well, and I confirmed the car is/was owned by a collector up North?

I think the question mark should be removed from the subject heading.
